Quad Cities Veterans Art Initiative
Supporting Veterans and the Military Community
The Quad Cities Veterans Art Initiative provides veterans, active duty military and their families the opportunity to express themselves through visual art.
Vision: The QCVAI strives to create spaces and programs in which veterans and active duty military, with their families, can explore the benefits of art and well being in Iowa and Illinois. Anyone within the military community is welcome to learn about art and its benefits through participation in art classes and workshops. Eventually, the QCVAI intends to maintain a space for the study of art, but currently travels throughout Iowa and Illinois to conduct workshops at other supporting locations.
Initially conceived in 2017, the QCVAI was started by two artists with a vested interest in the well being of veterans and active duty military community. The QCVAI was established as a tax exempt 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization in August of 2018. Our Federal EIN is #83-1786583.
The QCVAI sees a future in which vets and the military community can explore the arts and improve their well being in a secure, safe and neutral environment. We intend to expand into a series of facilities throughout Iowa and Illinois. Ultimately, we hope that the QCVAI offers no-cost opportunities for a variety of health and wellness options to anyone in the military community regardless of their situation.
